Hip-hop clothing is a unique style of dress that comes from African-American youth. The young people of this ethnic group has begun to take some clothing styles in different cities in the United States.The new styles of clothing have been named differently than the hip-hop clothing, street and urban clothing.
The cities in which these changes took place in New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Memphis and Jersey City, but the new culture spread to other cities also very fast. Each city had its own distinctive contribution to hip hop style clothing that has emerged in general, and was established as a traditional clothing style in the world. Despite the specific ethnic, young African Americans, global production was less readily adopted this new style of dress. The hip-hop clothing has become a kind of fashion statement for modern youth.
The hip-hop clothing has become the trend of the 1980′s, with brightly colored suits, leather jackets and sheepskin, and Clarks shoes in this street trend. Hair has also undergone a change, with Jheri curls and hi-top fade, the most famous of them. Accessories for this new trend of urban spectacles were great design and name plates for belts, hats, and multiple rings.
Heavy gold jewelry has become a part of the new scene, which continues today. Jewelry worn by men has been dominated by the massive gold chains and bracelets and earrings of gold in the women prefer large and fashion jewelry to match the hip-hop clothing. The use of gold necklaces in the foreground had been taken by men and women, following the example of male performers like Big Daddy Kane, Kurtis Blow, and female rappers such as the rap group Salt- N-Pepa and Roxanne Shante singer.
The latest evolution of trends in hip hop clothes have led to a separation of urban clothing for men and women. While women wore the same baggy pants and men in the beginning, the current crop of women dedicated to fashion, glamorous, feminine and street, as the clothing line Baby Phat Kimora Lee Simmons, popularized by Foxy Brown and Lil Kim. Many other young women prefer conservative clothing for hip-hop that are distinctly feminine.
